How to Stage a French Country Bedroom

The French Country décor that is currently in style really goes over big in staging a home for a quick sale. While it looks expensive by following the techniques in this article the French Country look in a bedroom can be achieved on anyone’s budget. You will notice that your perspective buyers are in awe of how great the room looks and if you are lucky, it will be the one room that they remember enough to make a great offer.

Using a few inexpensive design tricks the look you love can be yours and everyone will think you spent a fortune. This should be the goal throughout your entire home, but it is much easier when you only have to focus on one room of the house.

First of all there are four main colors that you will want to use in the French Country bedroom. The following colors are a must have; yellow, black, white and red.

Take everything you can out of the room and if you can’t move the furniture start with a blank slate by removing all clutter. Take down any thing you have on the walls and take down both your current curtains and the curtain rods. You are starting from scratch here, so there is no room for anything that might otherwise get in the way.

Now you have a blank slate. The easiest thing to do is paint your walls. The best color to use on the walls is yellow. A bright sunny yellow sets the stage for the rest of your décor. Waking up to that color in the morning immediately lifts your spirits! Try a color called Morning Sunshine or Lemon Fresh. That is what you are going for in the French Country look. You want a happy color accent that revives the senses. Color selection goes a long way in setting the mood you want to create in the bedroom. Not only is it the first thing that people will see when they walk into the room, but it is also one of the cheapest things to change in a room. That combines to make it an essential element for you.

After that, you are going to have to do something with the windows. You need to pick a color and have some curtains made. You can usually find the fabric to make curtains for a relatively low price. If you painted the walls yellow, then you would probably choose red for the window treatments. This will add some spice to the room and follow in the traditional French country look that you are trying to achieve.

From there, you can get creative with your décor, but just make sure that you stick to the color scheme. When you dedicate yourself to doing a themed room, you have to follow it all the way until the end. People will be impressed by the uniqueness of the room, so you need to make sure to give them that opportunity.
